Responsibilities

• Empower Volunteers: Manage and support an employee and volunteer team responsible for the implementation of volunteer-led disaster services programming throughout the assigned geographic area.
• Lead the Program: Supervise employee(s) and implement disaster cycle services activities within the region.
• Mission Capacity Building: Develop and support disaster volunteers who are the primary workforce, representing communities.
• Engage Community: Lead and coordinate efforts to mobilize communities and partners for disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
• Manage in a Matrix: Build relationships and collaborate with internal partners in a matrix management environment.
• Know Your Communities: Serve as the local Red Cross disaster subject matter expert within the area.
• Ready to Respond: Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services concept.
