Job summary

Global Roles is seeking a Senior Community Disaster Program Manager to lead and support teams delivering disaster relief services. You will energize the workforce, engage communities, and manage disaster response operations within the Houston region.

Responsibilities include leading volunteer teams, overseeing program implementation, developing Disaster Leadership Volunteers, and collaborating with internal partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license & a clean MVR.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to interpret program trends and improve services.
• Proven record of collaboration with diverse groups representing the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse volunteer team for disaster services in the assigned area.
• Oversee implementation of disaster cycle services activities across the region.
• Develop Disaster Leadership Volunteers and partner with volunteer organizations.
• Support disaster volunteers who reflect the communities served.
• Lead a team of employees and volunteers to prepare, respond, and recover from disasters.
• Build relationships with internal partners and community stakeholders.
• Act as regional subject matter expert to maximize presence and engagement.
• Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations aligned with operational concepts.
