Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of emergency management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Training in Emergency Management (FEMA, SA or other courses) identified by EDS Director.
• Must understand and support the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the divisional training schedule with the Director, including registration and required documentation.
• Provide operational support for divisional preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities.
• Oversee on-call staff operations and volunteer management; maintain volunteer rosters and community service records.
• Maintain Divisional social media communications and serve as liaison with local, state, and federal agencies and NGOs.
• Assist with deployment of personnel and equipment for divisional and territorial disaster responses.
