Job summary

Symetra is seeking a Claims Intake Specialist to deliver timely, accurate information to call center callers, gather necessary details, and enter claims data into our system. You will support STD, SDI, AM, LTD, Life and AD&D lines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of cumulative relevant experience in claims or customer service.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate information to call center callers about disability, life, and leave claims.
• Enter claim details clearly into the claims system with well-written summaries.
• Maintain a high level of customer care and empathy throughout interactions.
• Demonstrate growing proficiency with STD, SDI, AM, LTD, Life and AD&D products.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
