Job summary

Goodwill NYNJ seeks a Supported Employment Job Developer to work with persons with disabilities through Customized Employment. You will coordinate Discovery, intern at multiple sites, and interview supporters to craft a holistic plan leading to a good job match.

You will build employer networks, create internship opportunities across diverse settings, and place about 25 individuals per year while helping with resumes and on-site coaching as needed. Travel to multiple sites daily is required.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required at minimum; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Discovery process and final Discovery Report within ~90 days.
• Develop community internship sites across multiple settings (e.g., Pharmacy, clothing, big box stores).
• Place 25 individuals per year.
• Create resumes for program consumers.
• Assist with online or paper job applications.
• Maintain relationships with employers.
• Develop new employer accounts.
• Assist consumers in finding, getting and keeping jobs.
• Job match participants with suitable roles considering experience and goals.
• Market program and set up on-site job coaching when needed.
• Educate employers on ADA, tax credits, etc.
• Document services in CMIS daily.
• Submit job orders, referrals and verifications timely.
• Travel to multiple sites daily.
