Job summary

Goodwill NYNJ is seeking a DSP-Job Coach to support individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment in the community. The role requires travel across NYC and direct work with participants and their families in real-world job settings.

You will maintain accurate notes in the EHR, coordinate with employers, and help participants develop job-ready skills through hands-on coaching.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience with people with disabilities preferred.
• Willingness to travel across NYC and work in community settings.
• Strong ability to document client interactions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental billing efficiency standards.
• Maintain accurate daily case-notes and monthly summaries in the EHR.
• Site visits with participants and employers throughout NYC region.
• Keep audit-ready records and update key information in EHR.
• Assist transitioning youth and unemployed individuals to discover careers.
• Develop relationships with consumers, parents, therapists, and employers.
• Support job development activities and address workplace problems.
• Maintain contact with consumers and employers to prevent job loss.
• Work in a cooperative manner with Goodwill and partner programs.
