Job summary

UMass Medical School seeks a Program Manager- Administration (DES) to lead a large support unit that backs clinicians in disability determinations and related processes. You will ensure compliance with DES guidelines and privacy regulations, coordinate with senior management on new business lines, and oversee staff performance and customer service operations.

Qualifications

• RN with six years of relevant clinical experience and an active license.
• Masters level rehabilitation counselor or allied health professional with 3 years relevant medical/psychological experience including two years of medical training.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administrative operations to ensure clinicians have required support for accurate determinations.
• Develop and monitor guidelines for administrative support of medical and psychology professionals in the disability review process.
• Provide input during program initiation or renewal and manage DES lines of business and new opportunities.
• Support unit customer service operations by monitoring call volumes, scheduling, letters, and staff performance.
• Analyze and improve administrative systems to increase efficiency in coordination with impacted units.
• Collaborate with DES senior management to assess resources for new business opportunities and establish procedures for new programs.
• Develop guidelines for determinations not requiring clinical decisions and promote QA and continuous improvement.

Education

RN license

Masters in rehabilitation / allied health licensure
