Job summary

ViaQuest in Lafayette, IN is seeking an accounting/finance professional for full-time work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. The role supports the Circle of Care services, including Day & Employment Services and Residential Services.

Candidates should have a four-year degree in accounting or related fields, with 3+ years’ experience in accounting acceptable if no degree is held. Responsibilities include managing finances, bills, checks, reconciliations, and collaboration with program

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services preferred.
• Candidates without a degree but who have 3+ years of experience in accounting or developmental disabilities will be considered.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Supervisory or management experience is a plus.
• Displays strong communication skills and possess excellent decision-making and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the individual’s service plan and per company policy.
• Ensure individual’s basic needs such as rent, utilities, etc. are paid consistently and timely.
• Ensure spending money and petty cash is available at each site per the individual’s service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards, as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals timely.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals, as applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and complete monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Work collaboratively with Program Managers and other management to ensure accuracy with individual’s finances.
