  • 7 years of relevant experience in Workforce Development.
  • 2 year supervisory experience.
  • Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and plans projects and resources to ensure consistent program administration to meet the needs of the college and community.
  • Works collaboratively to develop and implement unit goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Develops long-term and short-term plans and makes recommendations for programs; ensures programs are optimized to support student and community needs and meet respective grant requirements.
  • Leads the researching, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and manages the performance of the unit to ensure delivery of high quality programs according to scope, time, and budget.
  • Makes recommendations for the creation of budgets, monitors revenue and expenses.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates employees. Provides leadership, mentoring and performance management.
  • Plans and allocates resources and work assignments according to priorities.
  • Travels to other campuses and off-site locations as needed.
  • Must have a dedicated high speed connection for connection to the college's resources remotely when needed.
  • Establishes and develops educational and training programs in collaboration with external partners, including identifying partner needs, designing program content, coordinating implementation, and assessing outcomes.
  • Oversees the administration of the Prison Education Program and justice impacted programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: The Director of Workforce Development provides leadership and operational oversight for the College’s Manufacturing and Corporate Services. The director is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating publicly offered workforce programs and customized contract training that respond to the needs of local businesses, industries, and community partners. This is a revenue-generating position with direct responsibility for establishing and meeting revenue goals through employer contracts, workforce development partnerships, public training offerings, and grant-funded initiatives. The director builds and maintains relationships with employers and community organizations, identifies emerging workforce needs, develops responsive training solutions, pursues grant opportunities, and monitors program enrollment, expenses, revenue, and outcomes to ensure the department’s continued growth and financial sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience in Workforce Development
  • 2 year supervisory experience

Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

Hiring Range:Starting at $84,770
