Job summary

Safety National is seeking a senior leader in Claims to oversee Workers’ Compensation claims handling within the St. Louis region.

You will guide and develop Claims Managers and Analysts, manage complex claims from assignment to closure, evaluate coverage and exposure, establish reserves, negotiate settlements, and coordinate litigation efforts. You will direct third-party administrators, work with underwriting on large losses, and collaborate with Medical Management and other stakeholders to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 10+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims adjusting experience.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days/week in St. Louis office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims handling within assigned region.
• Guide and develop Claims Managers and Analysts.
• Manage complex claims from assignment to closure, evaluating coverage and exposure.
• Establish reserves, negotiate settlements, and coordinate litigation efforts.
• Provide direction to TPAs and collaborate with internal partners.
• Travel for claim and TPA audits as needed.
