Job summary

Society Insurance is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead the Workers Compensation team in a remote/hybrid capacity across the states where Society conducts business, including WI. The role drives quality outcomes, process improvements, and staff development, reporting to the Director of Claims.

You will oversee staff performance, training programs, and collaboration with Underwriting, Risk Control, and Marketing, maintaining compliance and delivering cost‑effective claims handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; 10 years of direct complex workers’ compensation claims experience in IL, IN, CO, MN, WI, or TX OR 14 years in multi-line claims including field claims losses, coverage analysis, litigation management, and substantial claims supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion, analysis, and reporting of quality reviews with feedback and mentoring of staff.
• Manage team file handling, engagement, growth in claims knowledge, and career development.
• Assist Director of Claims in selection, orientation, training, and development of staff.
• Analyze processes for compliance and implement revisions with technical teams.
• Oversee claims support operations, evaluate results, and enforce productivity standards.
• Provide oversight on damages, coverage, liability, ensuring compliance with laws; identify training needs.
• Develop training programs with Director of Claims; identify expert speakers.
