Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior Web Experience Design role with 3+ years leading design teams.
• Experience with ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization or transactional digital experiences.
• Deep expertise in UX and UI design principles, accessibility, responsive design and modern processes.
• Excellent collaboration and communication, able to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience and establish UX/UI strategy.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics and Engineering to prototype and run A/B tests.
• Advance ecommerce and conversion experiences to improve high-value moments.
• Design across the full customer journey from acquisition to engagement.
• Use data from qualitative and quantitative sources to prioritize opportunities.
• Build a culture of continuous optimization with iterative testing and measurement.
• Stay ahead of evolving web design practices including AI-enabled experiences and accessibility.
• Develop outstanding talent by coaching designers and growing future design leaders.
