Job summary

Denver Water seeks a seasoned operations leader to direct the collection, storage, and delivery of high-quality water. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and align maintenance with strategic priorities to support community water sustainability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in related work with at least 5 years in supervisory roles, plus a Colorado driver’s license. Hybrid schedule in the Denver area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience including 5 years supervisory experience.
• Valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• High-level understanding of water administration in Colorado (flow and storage).

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, schedule and coordinate collection, storage and delivery of high-quality water.
• Provide leadership, guidance, development and supervision of assigned personnel.
• Prepare annual operating, maintenance and capital budgets and manage spending.
• Coordinate with departments to meet system goals for quality, safety, supply and delivery.
• Develop emergency response and contingency plans for system operations.
