Job summary

WM is seeking a Director of Wastewater Process Engineering to lead enterprise-wide initiatives for landfill liquids management and treatment. The role reports to the Sr.

Director of ES&WT and drives policies, procedures, and best practices across facilities nationwide. Responsibilities include overseeing leachate treatment facilities, regulatory compliance, and technology development in collaboration with internal and external experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree required in Engineering, Environmental Management, Biology, Chemistry or similar.
• At least 10 years overall experience with 7+ years in industrial wastewater treatment design and operations.
• Master's Degree and 10+ years of experience preferred; 3+ years of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of enterprise-wide wastewater liquids management initiatives.
• Develop policies, procedures and best practices for landfill liquids handling, treatment and disposal.
• Provide technical leadership for leachate treatment facilities and related regulatory compliance.
• Engage with internal and external experts on R&D for environmental technologies.
• Balance enterprise financial goals with environmental regulations and solutions.
• Drive safety culture and WM strategy execution across teams.
