Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Vx Platform ASTL Lead/Director to lead a team of analytical science professionals within Global Manufacturing Science & Technology. You will define end-to-end analytical control strategies, support technology transfers and provide expertise across the product lifecycle in the Global Supply Chain.

The role involves leading cross-site teams, presenting to global stakeholders, coordinating analytical investigations, and mentoring in new methods or platform technologies.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in a relevant scientific field.
• Senior experience in analytical technologies, method development and validation.
• Knowledge of Quality by Design, risk management, GMP, NPI and manufacturing operations.
• Experience supporting regulatory interactions and submissions for vaccines or biotherapeutics.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills in a global matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop a team of Analytical Science & Technology leaders.
• Own end-to-end analytical control strategies, specifications and comparability process.
• Lead cross-functional, cross-site teams on analytical aspects for GSK products/projects.
• Present topics to global stakeholders within project governing bodies.
• Coordinate complex analytical investigations and drive problem solving with data analytics.
• Provide scientific support and mentorship in new methods or platform technologies.
• Accountable for analytical sections of lifecycle regulatory submissions and RTQ process.
