Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston seeks a Director of Cell & Gene Therapy Research Technology to lead a laboratory technology platform team across CGT sites. You will own the DTE relationship for LC1/2, translate scientist input into clear backlog items, and drive platform roadmaps with cross-functional platform teams.

You will oversee budget, program delivery, and talent development while ensuring GxP and SOX compliance in IT/OT operations and advancing enterprise automation and analytics

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in technology discipline or equivalent.
10+ years of relevant experience in technology platforms.
3+ years in Cell & Gene Therapy space preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing Lab Engineering Support organization.
Own the LC1/2 technology adoption and DTE relationship with site leadership.
Capture requirements from scientists and shape them into prioritized backlog.
Manage budget, vendor relationships, and platform roadmaps.
Ensure compliant, secure, and efficient laboratory technology operations.
