RWE Americas, LLC in the United States seeks a Director of Business Development to lead regional portfolio development for utility-scale solar, wind and storage projects. You will drive market and policy intelligence, support pricing decisions and guide cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the regional VP, you will manage budgeting, OKRs, and coordinate strategic initiatives, including M&A and new market entry, with a focus on delivering regional targets and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, business, economics, or relevant field.
• 11 years of renewable energy infrastructure experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leading a team.
• Strong background in energy markets, prospecting, project development, engineering, or construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional portfolio management analysis against growth targets.
• Drive regional implementation of long-term strategic targets (organic and inorganic).
• Provide strategic regional analysis of customers, markets, and competitors.
• Serve as strategic lead for M&A and new market entry initiatives.
• Forecast regional financial and interconnection obligations.
• Lead quarterly development planning and OKRs aligned with regional strategy.
• Manage budgets and communicate regional risks.
• Represent BD in executive forums with leadership insights.
• Prepare board documentation for project approvals.
