Job summary

German American Bank seeks a Director of Treasury Management to lead the treasury management business, including sales, product delivery, implementation, and service, driving growth in deposits, fee income, and customer relationships.

You will partner across lines of business, own the product roadmap for ACH, wire, lockbox, liquidity, and fraud-prevention services, and oversee onboarding and cross-functional implementations to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in bank treasury management or commercial banking, including leading sales teams.
• Deep knowledge of commercial payments, receivables, liquidity solutions, and fraud-prevention services.
• Proven success growing treasury fee income, operating deposits, and product adoption through consultative sales.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of treasury services compliance and risk management.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technology and process requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year treasury management strategy and annual business plan aligned with the Bank’s priorities.
• Manage treasury management financial performance, budgets, profitability, pricing standards, and fee exceptions.
• Partner with sales teams on coordinated calling plans and relationship expansion.
• Own the treasury management product roadmap and lifecycle (ACH, wire, remote deposit capture, lockbox, positive pay, etc.).
• Maintain senior-level relationships and sponsor complex implementations; drive retention.
• Lead treasury management sales and service teams, recruiting and developing talent.
• Set onboarding, implementation, and service standards with clear handoffs among Sales, Operations, and Technology.
• Coordinate vendor selection, SLAs, performance reviews, and risk management.
