Job summary

BHcare in Connecticut seeks an experienced Director of Domestic Violence Services to lead programs that empower survivors and advance trauma-informed care across the region. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services and the HOPE Family Justice Center, ensuring survivor-centered practices and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Connecticut clinical licensure (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in human services, with DV services preferred.
  • Experience with budgeting, grant management, compliance, and community partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, organizational, and technology skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for BHcare's domestic violence services.
  • Oversee program operations across multiple service locations, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff while fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Manage program budgets, grants, reporting, and funding opportunities for sustainability.
  • Build partnerships with community agencies, funders, and statewide DV organizations.
  • Support fundraising, community engagement, and regulatory reporting.
