Job summary

Community Health Center, Inc. in Middletown, CT seeks a New Horizons Program Manager to direct and manage the domestic violence shelter. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Key Populations, you will supervise staff, ensure CCADV care standards, and integrate DV services with CHC programs to improve client wellness.

You will collaborate with the grants team to secure funding and support program expansion, while maintaining high-quality service delivery in a 24/7 shelter environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Strong communication and program management skills.
• Domestic Violence Certification (obtained within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily shelter operations and staff supervision.
• Ensures CCADV standards of care are followed and CHC policies implemented.
• Manages budgeting, grants, and resource allocation.
• Coordinates with community partners to optimize services for clients.
• Leads meetings and provides staff training and supervision.
• Maintains safety, incident response, and quality assurance for shelter operations.
