Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Director of Transportation Training (Buses) to lead the Trans./Safety Training Units and oversee instructors, curriculum development, and probationary evaluations. The role ensures training aligns with NYS 19-A, CDL requirements, and agency safety standards.

Reporting to the ACTO, Transportation, this leadership position includes program development, policy creation, and collaboration with MTA Bridges & Tunnels to enhance bus operation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Seven years of full-time related experience.
• Three years in supervisory, managerial, training, or related capacity.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and manage activities of Transportation Superintendents responsible for training Bus Operators and Dispatchers.
• Evaluate instructor performance and provide training or coaching as needed.
• Provide training to MTA Bridges & Tunnels.
