Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Sentinel Office of the Chief Engineer is seeking a Director 1 - System Integration & Test Chief Engineer in Roy, UT. Lead system-level integration, drive engineering processes, and mentor high-potential leaders across SDS division.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong leadership, and experience across disciplines to deliver on complex defense programs with a 9/80 schedule and relocation considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with at least 10 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and/or organizations.
• Proven performance executing integration and test on an engineering development program.
• Demonstrated experience with agile software/hardware integration.
• Experience in incremental verification of capabilities including integration and testing of initial and follow-on verification and fielding events.
• Experience addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for an engineering development project or systems integration project.
• Advanced knowledge within a single engineering discipline and experience across disciplines.
• Active DoD Secret clearance, investigation must have been completed within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Execute the priorities of the SDS Office of the Chief Engineer with a focus on system level Integration & Test.
• Ensure the program adheres to sound engineering processes and quality standards.
• Ensure an achievable technical baseline balancing performance with cost and schedule.
• Support PMT meetings such as TRB, WSWG, CCB, PMR, ROMB.
• Resolve cross-team disconnects to ensure design decisions meet system performance.
• Support strategic SDS initiatives on tools, processes, and cross-program technical reviews.
• Mentor high potential technical leaders.
