Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
• Board certification/eligibility in General Surgery.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Florida medical license and appropriate clinical privileges.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine and graduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for development and implementation of simulation-based surgical education programs.
• Manage curricula and training programs to meet ACGME and American Board of Surgery requirements.
• Conduct competency-based assessment methods and coordinate team-based simulations.
• Mentor residents and medical students in clinical, simulation, and classroom settings.
• Collaborate with university and hospital leadership to advance simulation technologies and secure funding.
