Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Surgery unit located in Mayfield, Kentucky. This full-time position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a Registered Nurse license in Kentucky. Qualifications

Overview

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery unit (5-bed). Location: Jackson Purchase. Schedule: Fulltime.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Manages the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards.
• Responsible for hiring, terminating, training, developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.

Certifications
