• Assist patients with activities of daily living.

The Women's Services unit at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing care to patients. This 8‑bed unit ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support. We strive to create places where patients choose to come for health‑care, where providers desire to practice, and team members want to work.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
