Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit. The role is full-time days, 7a-7p, with every third weekend, joining a 64-bed unit dedicated to coordinated patient care.

You will assess patients, document care, contribute to interdisciplinary plans, and participate in QI activities. Requires RN license; BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timeframes; one year of experience preferred; sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

The Med/Surg unit at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing care to patients. This is a 64-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support. How you'll contribute
