Qualifications

• Ten years commercial or contract surety underwriting experience preferred.
• Experience with territory development and broker distribution management.
• Ability to analyze complex financial statements including profitability, leverage, cash flow, working capital and liquidity trends.
• CPA designation or experience in financial underwriting is highly transferable.
• Willingness to travel; extensive travel and relocation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes portfolio and account performance to drive profitable growth.
• Reviews underwriting decisions and ensures compliance with policies and objectives.
• Plans territory sales and budgeting; manages expenses and people development.
• Drives sales strategies to develop new business and improve retention.
• Consults with agents and brokers to identify opportunities and educate teams.
