Job summary

University of Houston seeks a senior data/IS professional to oversee student data operations within the UH Law Center’s Student Services. You will manage data systems, design reports, and drive process improvements across enrollment, records, and academic progress.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, automating workflows with MS 365 and Power Automate, and ensuring compliance with policies. Collaboration with university partners and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
• Experience in higher education administration, student records, enrollment management, or related area is helpful.
• Strong technical skills for data management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for student data and information systems (enrollment, records, academic progress).
• Generate, develop, and analyze student data using SQL, Excel, Qualtrics, and relational databases for reporting and decision-making.
• Evaluate and improve business processes and workflows, including automation opportunities and data integration.
• Create apps, tools, and plug-ins to support OSA and Law Center stakeholders, exploring AI-enabled outputs.
• Manage course registration processes, grade submissions, exams scheduling, and related systems.
• Oversee graduation audits, degree progress, and compliance with academic policies.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, datasets, and analytical resources for leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with UH Law Center and University partners to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
