Cornerstones is seeking a Director of Street Outreach to lead the Street Outreach team at Embry Rucker Community Shelter, directing services across the Homeless Healthcare, Hypothermia Prevention, and Drop-In programs. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, equity-centered care and Housing First methods to move unsheltered individuals into permanent housing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable human services field or commensurate experience.
• Master’s Degree in social services field or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Three years of experience in homeless services, residential services, and/or housing.
• Prior experience supervising homeless services programs.
• Must be comfortable meeting unsheltered individuals in places not meant for human habitation.
• Experience with vulnerable populations including mental health and/or substance abuse.
• Knowledge of Housing First and Rapid Re-Housing philosophies.
• Lived experience of housing instability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision for Street Outreach staff and oversee services for unsheltered adults.
• Oversee outreach schedule and engagement with community locations not meant for habitation.
• Accompany outreach teams to engage individuals in services.
• Supervise Hypothermia Prevention Program and drop-in day services at ERCS.
• Liaise with community groups and officials to support local housing strategies.
• Develop housing procurement and case management plans for unsheltered individuals.
• Maintain HMIS files meeting agency and contract standards.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and trainings.
• Provide intern/volunteer supervision as appropriate.
