Job summary

The Floating Hospital Inc. seeks a Director of Shelter and Community Outreach to lead outreach to homeless family shelters and domestic violence safe houses in NYC.

You will supervise staff, build partnerships with case managers and social workers, and drive services across medical, dental, behavioral health, podiatry, and optometry divisions. You will report to the EVP of Clinical Administration/CMO and coordinate outreach across TFH departments, with on-site responsibilities Monday–Friday and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Public Administration, Communications/Marketing).
• 3–5 years of healthcare outreach, public speaking, and program management; prior sales experience required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in working with EHR/Microsoft systems and exporting/analyzing healthcare data.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Market TFH services to the family homeless shelter and domestic violence safe house networks.
• Conduct presentations, set up information desks and participate in health fairs for shelter residents.
• Create linkage agreements with organizations that run shelters and safe houses.
• Prepare statistics and reports for upper management and monitor trends.
• Oversee up to 6 FTEs and coordinate with TFH departments serving shelter residents and community clients.
