Job summary

SAIC is seeking a growth-focused leader to direct business development for the Defense Space Market, driving Global Mission Data Dominance with the US Space Force. The Director will shape strategy, lead capture efforts, and engage senior government and industry leaders to advance Space Battle Management and C2 opportunities across the Air Force, Space, and Intel groups.

Remote work is possible with a preference for candidates in the DMV, CO or CA.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in space-focused business development, including strategy, pipeline, capture, and proposals for US government opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical or business field.
• Existing network within US Space Force, US Air Force, SDA, SAPO/DoD and related agencies.
• Strong track record leading teams to shape new opportunities and improve bid profitability.
• Excellent oral and written communication; capable of rapid, high-level engagement.
• Eligibility for Top Secret clearance is immediate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pipeline development and capture efforts to meet Air Force, Space and Intel Group goals.
• Shape and execute long-term growth strategies in Space C2 and mission integration.
• Develop teaming, price-to-win strategies, capture plans, and win tactics.
• Foster internal and external collaboration to deliver space solutions.
• Engage with government and industry leaders to position SAIC as a trusted mission integrator.
• Strengthen SAIC’s brand via thought leadership and market visibility activities.
