Job summary

Fivetran is building a new SOX Compliance function in Oakland, CA, reporting to the CAO. You will design, stand up, and own Fivetran's internal controls program using COSO, with ITGC/ITAC oversight and external auditor liaison responsibilities.

This is a hybrid, full‑time role with exposure across enterprise controls and governance. You will lead risk assessments, develop control narratives, and implement a SOX/GRC workflow tool using AI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, SOX/internal controls, or external audit.
• Public accounting (Big 4 or large national firm) with SOX/ICFR experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of COSO Framework and PCAOB standards.
• Experience managing or co-sourcing control testing with third parties.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the end-to-end SOX 404 program using COSO 2013 and 404(b) standards.
• Build and maintain risk/control matrices, narratives, and flowcharts for financial processes.
• Design and document preventive and detective control activities for audit readiness.
• Own relationship with KPMG and coordinate testing, walkthroughs, and item remediation.
• Establish control monitoring and governance, including SOX/GRC tooling.
