Job summary

Fivetran is building a SOX Compliance function from the ground up in Oakland, CA. The Director will design and stand up the internal controls program using COSO, liaise with KPMG, and drive 404(a) readiness. This is a build‑phase, high‑visibility role with broad latitude to shape governance and tooling.

You will work with Accounting, IT, Security, FP&A, Legal, and business owners to embed preventive controls, manage third‑party testing, and report to the CAO/CFO. Hybrid work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in internal audit or SOX/ICFR.
• Public accounting background preferred (Big 4).
• Deep COSO and PCAOB knowledge.
• Able to talk with engineers on controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead 404 SOX program.
• Partner with auditors and manage testing.
• Develop SoD analyses and IT controls.
• Coach control owners and embed controls in processes.
