Teachers Federal Credit Union in Hauppauge, NY, seeks a Director of Small Business Banking to lead strategy, growth, and performance of the credit union’s small business segment. You will manage a team of Small Business Relationship Managers, drive lending and deposit growth, and ensure member experience and regulatory compliance.

This senior role requires deep experience in small business banking, leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum eight years banking experience.
• Minimum six years in small business banking.
• Minimum five years banking leadership experience.
• Underwriting experience preferred.
• Balance sheet income statement and P&L experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, growth, and direction of the Small Business Banking program.
• Manage and develop a team of Small Business Bankers to drive production and portfolio health.
• Identify market opportunities and champion new products and delivery improvements.
• Oversee portfolio performance, risk metrics, and corrective actions.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure performance and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Retail, Operations, Technology, Credit, Risk, and Compliance.
