Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Director of Security Engineering to lead the engineering of SIEM, EDR, SOAR and related platforms within MSS and AFC delivery models. You will drive architecture, detection engineering standards, data pipelines and automation, while mentoring leaders and engineers.

You will align practice management, offers, and client outcomes with strategic goals, manage staffing and budgets, and engage with executives to drive continuous improvement across cost, value and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years information security and managed services experience required.
• Proven leadership of security engineering and MSS delivery teams.
• Experience across SIEM, EDR, SOAR and other platforms such as Wiz and Cribl.

Responsibilities

• Lead security engineering practice across SIEM, EDR, SOAR and other platforms.
• Own technical direction of MDR, co-managed SIEM, data engineering, and Tier 1 offerings.
• Drive process and detection-content improvement with metrics and adherence to SLOs.
• Provide practice management, offer management and sales enablement.
• Enforce policies and serve as executive escalation point for platform and service delivery.
