Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of Operations Product Development, Science & Technology (PDS&T) to lead vision, strategy, and execution. You will coordinate manpower, facilities, and budgets to keep projects on track, ensuring seamless transfer from R&D to manufacturing and external TPMs.

You will supervise a diverse team of scientists and technicians and influence R&D and operations interfaces. The role requires deep expertise in API development, formulation, analytical chemistry, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in a related scientific field.
• PhD or equivalent in a related scientific discipline is highly desired.
• 10+ years of API development/manufacturing, formulation, analytical chemistry and/or technical services, including at least 6+ years of managerial experience.
• Director, MS&T must have strong background and expertise in drug development, marketed product support, technical issue resolution & related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategies, planning, decision-making, risk management for API and dosage form improvements.
• Provide credible CMC leadership to AbbVie.
• Manage a diversified staff to ensure lifecycle management meets standards.
• Identify and adopt new technology with regulatory and business alignment.
• Interact with R&D, Operations, and contract manufacturers to secure AbbVie interests.
