Job summary

Capital One is seeking a senior leader for Enterprise Risk Management to champion the Issues and Events programs across the bank. You will guide risk assessment practices and drive continuous improvement with a focus on data analysis and root cause investigation.

You will lead cross-functional teams, influence senior executives across three lines of defense, and shape risk strategy with strong communication and analytical skills in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 10+ years of risk management experience recommended.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries advantageous.
• Proven leadership of teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective management and enhancement of the Issue and Event Programs per objectives and regulatory expectations.
• Drive cross-functional improvements including root cause analysis across the enterprise.
• Provide proactive analysis and reporting on issues and events to identify themes and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors.
