Job summary

Capital One in Richmond, VA seeks a Risk Event Manager to lead risk management, process improvement, and project execution within Enterprise Risk Management. You will partner with executives and teams to monitor health of the business and manage the Event & Issue framework.

The role requires strong analytics, collaboration across risk, legal, internal audit, and regulators, and experience in risk event lifecycle from root cause through remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of Risk Management, Process Management, OR Project Management experience

Responsibilities

• Leverage data and analytics to manage risk and create visibility to business health, as well as determine best practices and lessons learned regarding components of the Event & Issue management framework
• Collaborate internally and with our risk community (e.g. risk managers, risk leads, IRM groups, business risk offices, front line process owners) to mature our risk event practice methodologies and advance learning
• Facilitate the risk event life cycle, including: root cause analysis, containment, remediation, and recovery efforts
• Develop practical solutions to improve risk event management processes using data and technology
• Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations across Card functional areas, Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Business Risk Offices, Legal, Internal Audit, Regulator Relations, etc. to achieve the risk event management objectives
