Job summary

Piper Sandler Ltd. seeks a dynamic Head of RIA & Family Office Research Distribution to lead our research distribution within the Equities team. Location is negotiable as the role can be based in any office.

The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with CIOs and portfolio managers, articulate the value of our differentiated research, and shape a scalable distribution model. Travel to industry events will be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in institutional sales, research sales, asset management distribution, wealth management, or related role.
• Proven experience selling investment research or financial services to RIAs and family offices.
• Established relationships with senior professionals in RIA and family office ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of how RIAs and family offices source and use investment research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead strategy for distributing investment research to RIAs, family offices, wealth managers and other institutional investors.
• Build and maintain relationships with CIOs, PMs, research directors and other senior decision-makers.
• Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities in RIA and family office channels.
• Articulate the value proposition of our research including sector expertise and investment ideas.
• Create customized engagement strategies based on client processes and buying preferences.
• Coordinate meetings and events between clients and our research analysts and investment professionals.
• Collaborate with institutional sales, equity research, corporate access, marketing, and leadership for coordinated coverage.
• Develop a pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities with activity tracking.
• Gather market intelligence to shape product and distribution strategy.
• Increase awareness and utilization of our research among RIAs and family offices.
• Support development of new products, services and commercial models for wealth management clients.
• Represent the firm at conferences and events.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and regulations.
