Job summary

Piper Sandler is seeking a Head of RIA & Family Office Research Distribution to lead our equities sales efforts with RIAs, family offices, and other wealth managers. Location is negotiable and the role can sit in any office.

The ideal candidate will develop a comprehensive distribution strategy, build senior-level relationships, and collaborate with research analysts, institutional sales, marketing, and leadership to expand engagement and revenue.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in institutional sales, research sales, wealth management, or related role.
• Experience selling investment research or financial services to RIAs/family offices.
• Established relationships with senior RIA and family office professionals.
• Strong understanding of how RIAs source and use research.
• Proven revenue-generating, consultative sales approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and events.
• FINRA licenses may be required depending on scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution strategy for investment research to RIAs, family offices, wealth managers, and other institutional investors.
• Build relationships with CIOs, portfolio managers, and senior decision-makers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across RIA and family office channels.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of the firm's research, including sector expertise and investment ideas.
• Create customized engagement strategies based on client processes and needs.
• Coordinate meetings, conferences, events, and touchpoints between clients and analysts.
• Collaborate with institutional sales, research, corporate access, marketing, and leadership.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and track engagement and revenue opportunities.
• Gather market intelligence to shape product and distribution strategy.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences and events.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and distribution requirements.
