Job summary

Piper Sandler Ltd. is seeking a Head of RIA & Family Office Research Distribution to lead our Equities sales to RIAs, family offices, and wealth managers.

Location is negotiable, with the role sitting in our Equities team and collaboration across research, marketing, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in institutional or research sales, established ties to RIAs and family offices, and a proven consultative, revenue-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in institutional sales, research sales, asset management distribution, wealth management, or related financial services.
• Established relationships with senior professionals across the RIA and family office ecosystem.
• Proven track record of selling investment research and ideas in a consultative, relationship-driven manner.
• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or relevant designation is a plus.
• FINRA licenses may be required depending on scope.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead strategy for distributing investment research to RIAs and family offices.
• Build relationships with CIOs, portfolio managers, investment committee members, research directors and other senior decision-makers.
• Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities across the RIA and family office channels.
• Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events between clients and research analysts and investment professionals.
• Collaborate with institutional sales, equity research, corporate access, marketing, and leadership to ensure a coordinated approach to client coverage.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities, including tracking activity, engagement, and conversion.
• Gather market intelligence and client feedback to shape the firm’s research product and distribution model.
• Establish performance metrics and regularly report on activity, engagement, and revenue opportunities.
