Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas seeks a Facility Director to lead the organization’s mission-driven programs, collaborating with VOACC leadership to implement strategic plans and manage stakeholder relationships. The role focuses on program efficiency, safety and compliance, while guiding culture and communication to support staff and residents.

The candidate will bring senior management experience, corrections knowledge, budgeting expertise, and strong leadership to advance

Qualifications

Master's degree in criminal justice, social science or related field.
Demonstrated ability in program development and personnel management.
Extensive knowledge of correction, Probation, ACA standards, PREA and re-entry practices.
Strong budget development and management, property and resource development, public relations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Deputy Director and management to implement program objectives and contractual obligations.
Recruit, supervise and evaluate program staff under VOACC policies.
Develop program policies to meet funding requirements and ensure compliant services.
Develop and deliver staff pre-service and in-service training.
Monitor operations to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
Develop partnerships with stakeholders and funding/regulatory agencies.
Oversee budget adherence and assist with the overall financial planning.
