Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator I (RSC I) at the RRC location in Baltimore, MD. You will develop, coordinate and monitor individual program plans for residents, guiding intake assessments, employment and education activities, and progress toward treatment goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services field and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

  • The RSC I position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a field of human services, criminal justice, social work or other related field.
  • With 1 year of employment experience in human services, corrections, or community-based services provision with various populations is required.
  • Experience with community corrections services is preferred.
  • RSC I candidates should possess effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with residents, staff and community partners are also required.
  • Strong organization skills, problem-solving skills and judgement are desired.
  • The successful candidate must also have working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake procedures with assigned residents and review policies.
  • Develop and implement individual program plans and meet with residents regularly to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise and document residents' needs, coordinating activities and education/employment.
  • Participate in program groups/classes including counseling and treatment programs.
  • Coordinate and monitor resident releases with community plans and procedures.
  • Maintain resident files in compliance with procedures and standards.
  • Document case activities in the electronic case management system.
  • Attend Program Review Team meetings.
  • Advocate for residents with external housing, employment and service partners.
  • Perform coverage duties such as incident reporting and screening visitors.
  • Drive as required to transport clients.
  • Complete required pre-service and in-service trainings annually.
  • Maintain knowledge of VOAC policies and ACA standards.
  • Attend staff meetings and related functions.
  • Assist in ensuring facility compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Represent the program to the public, community agencies and funders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
