Qualifications

• Lead research security and export control reviews with expert guidance on regulatory matters.
• Provide policy guidance to researchers, senior admins, and compliance partners.
• Navigate EAR, ITAR, OFAC and related federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME in export control and research security regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC).
• Leads complex assessments of activities, collaborations, and foreign funding.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and training related to research security.
• Manages sensitive or high-risk Technology Control Plans and oversight programs.
• Coordinates institutional response to audits, investigations, and federal inquiries.
• Provides consultation to campus leadership and research teams.
• Represents the institution in external meetings, compliance forums, and regulatory updates.
• Collaborates with other compliance offices and department administrators.
• Supervises or mentors junior analysts and assists in departmental strategy.
• Performs other duties as assigned
