Job summary

UAB Medicine is recruiting a leadership role to direct rehabilitative services at UAB St. Vincent's Blount. You will shape policies, oversee staffing, and drive compliance and budget planning to meet clinical and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Currently licensed or eligible as SLP/Audiologist or OT, or PT/RPT in Alabama.
• BLS provider preferred; American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
• Leadership/management experience required for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Direct and implement policies, procedures and strategies for rehabilitative services.
• Develop goals, plans and standards aligned with regulatory and ethical objectives.
• Plan, organize and direct staffing, evaluations, discipline and continuing education.
• Prepare budgets, ensure compliance, coordinate audits and improve quality.

Job Description

Direct the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies for rehabilitative services.

• Develop strategic goals, plans and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.


• Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.


• Prepare budgets for service area, ensure compliance, coordinate and direct audits.


• Direct and evaluate clinical activities to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist/Audiologist or Occupational Therapist (OT) by the appropriate State of Alabama Board or registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.


• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
