Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients at UAB ST Vincent's Blount. The role involves delivering therapy, educating patients and families, and maintaining detailed clinical records in a dynamic rehab setting.

The position requires Louisiana? Alabama state licensure eligibility or active license in good standing, with a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program relevant to licensure.

Job Description

Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.

• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient. Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist/Audiologist according to the rules and regulations of the Alabama State Board of Speech Language Pathology required.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited program relevant to professional licensure required.
