Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a licensed Rehab Therapist (Physical Therapy Assistant) to join the Rehab Services team. You will conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under supervision and document outcomes in the patient chart.

Based at UAB St. Vincent's Blount, this full-time role requires BLS within 1 month and PTA licensure within 3 months. A collaborative, mission-driven environment awaits with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date (or transfer).
• Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Assistant credential from Alabama Board of Physical Therapy within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions using appropriate techniques for the patient population.
• Document treatment interventions given.
• Coordinate activities of aides, students and other support personnel as needed.

• Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
