Ascension St. Agnes in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Director-level Nursing Leader for Surgical Services. You will direct clinical activities, align goals with medical and legal requirements, and ensure service quality and financial performance.

The role requires 5 years of leadership experience with 2+ years in management, RN licensure, and a Bachelor’s in nursing. An annual bonus is eligible and Ascension offers comprehensive benefits and tuition reimbursement.

• Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
• Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that the assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds.
• Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
• Works collaboratively with physicians, administration and directors to develop streamlined operations where equipment, supplies and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully.
• Removes obstacles to achieving clinical quality, service excellence and financial effectiveness targets.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred

Work Experience

• 5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
