Job summary

Quirch Foods, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Operations leader to shape and execute the company's end-to-end supply chain strategy across multiple distribution centers in the United States.

You will mentor the operations team, optimize logistics, drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, manage budgets and KPIs, ensure food safety compliance, and partner with Sales, IT, and Finance to deliver reliable, cost-effective service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (APICS, Six Sigma) desired.
• 10+ years in operations management with 5+ years in senior leadership; food distribution experience preferred.
• Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-region operations.
• Strong food safety, inventory management, and distribution logistics experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the operational strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation in operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
• Supply Chain Management: Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to delivery, ensuring that food products are delivered on time, in full, and within quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and consistency in supply.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Logistics & Distribution Oversight: Lead the logistics and transportation teams to optimize national distribution networks, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Implement data-driven strategies to manage fleet operations, warehouse facilities, and distribution points across the country.
• Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize operational workflows to drive cost reductions and operational efficiencies.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence through the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Budget & Financial Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost controls are in place and that the department operates within financial targets.
• Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and create cost-saving initiatives.
• Developing and managing Budgets, P&Ls and key performance indicators
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless communication between departments and alignment on client expectations.
• Work closely with IT to enhance systems and processes that drive operational performance and integrate advanced technology into the supply chain.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions in the supply chain and ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) are highly desired.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the food distribution or related industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex operations across multiple regions.
• Strong experience with food safety standards, inventory management, and distribution logistics.
• Skills & Abilities: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other operational software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel as needed to oversee operations at various distribution centers and facilities.
