Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the performance and safety of multiple waste processing sites in Ohio.

You will lead teams, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will bring 5+ years in operations leadership, strong data analysis skills, and a proven ability to coordinate across departments to meet safety and production targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in business or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 5 years in an Operations Manager or Supervisor role.
• Supervisor training.
• First Aid training certificate.
• Experience and strong knowledge in operation of waste vehicles.
• Experience and strong knowledge of operation of all company machines.
• Strong knowledge of Highway traffic act and Safety Act.
• Proven record in management of operations at waste processing sites in a safe and efficient manner.
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, OMS.

• Oversee and optimize the operations and functionality of assigned sites, promoting safety, sanitation, and security.
• Organize and analyze complex information and data.
• Develop strategic plans to grow busy and dynamic sites.
• Lead and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Manage financial, human, and physical resources of the division.
